ASNET meets with Kisii and Kakamega County CASSCOMs

The Agriculture Sector Network (ASNET) held a meeting with Kakamega and Kisii County Agriculture Sector Steering Committee (CASSCOM) in bid to support an all-inclusive approach to agriculture development through stakeholder participation. This was done through the support of USAID Feed the Future Kenya Crops and Dairy Market Systems (KCDMS) activity implemented by RTI International.
ASNET GM Agatha Thuo introduced the organization to the CASSCOM members as well as the highlighted the ASNET objective to establish a County ASNET in the two counties.
ASNET will support the established County ASNETs to create partnerships with CASSCOMs who are responsible for agriculture sector coordination in the counties. Its membership is drawn from the county governments, development partners, CSOs, private sector and other members with interventions in the counties. This linkage will enhance networking and onboarding on the roles and functions of the new ASNETS on the existing coordination structures and foster collaboration and synergies among stakeholders in addressing issues affecting the business environment and project activities in the county.
They pledge to support ASNET devolve in the counties through the County ASNETS.
